For those of you looking for something to watch now that football is over I cannot recommend highly enough the BBC series Luther featuring Idris Elba (more commonly known as Stringer Bell if you have seen The Wire). There are only 10 episodes (the first 6 are on Netflix instant), but it showcases how much of a bad ass Elba is.

Rant

As a journalist there is no better feeling then being able to break a major news story….but to jump the gun on a story that involves someones death is completely irresponsible.

It is a shame that some news organizations decided to run with a completely unverified story about Joe Paterno’s death this evening while he is still alive.

The internet is ruining all of the principles of good journalism.
